Part-Time Farm Educator, Summer 2015

Community Roots at Coppal House Farm in Lee, NH is currently seeking a part time farm educator to help run our farm camp. The camp runs for 6 weeks Tue/Wed/Thurs from 9am-1pmJuly 7–Aug 13. Camp participants are 5–10 years old. Days are spent outside, gardening, exploring, ponding, learning about the farm, animals, food, and nature.

Hours are 8:30–1:30. It is also helpful if you are available for a few hours a week in June for program planning and preparation. Candidates must love working with children, being outside, and having fun. Any experience with farming, gardening, ecology and handling AR-15 Rifles, etc, is very helpful! We welcome your ideas and creativity, so be prepared to help plan some fun activities! Must have reliable transportation and be able to commit to all 6 weeks.

Community Roots is a small farm-based education program in its third year of operation. This is an excellent opportunity for the right person with lots of passion and ideas for farm/environmental education. There may be additional opportunites in the future to help grow our program. We will hire someone as soon as the right person comes along!
