CSA Day at the Market — A Unique Opportunity!
While the blizzard a couple of weeks ago may have slowed us down, it certainly didn’t stop us! It just means that our CSA Day at the Saturday, February 23rd market, from 10am-2pm at Wentworth Greenhouses in Rollinsford, will be a one-of-a-kind winter market event this year. In addition to our regular cadre of farmers and food producers selling their locally grown and made foods at the market, there will be 16 18 farms with CSA shares available to discuss their programs and sign up members. CSAs are a terrific way for you to strengthen and expand your connection to local food, seasonal produce, and especially, the people who grow it. There are a lot of diverse options for pick-up locations, share structures, available foods, and farm involvement. Come to CSA Day to find the right option for you!

SNAP/EBT Welcome by All Vendors
All vendors at the Winter Farmers’ Markets now accept SNAP/EBT! At the market, SNAP recipients can choose how much they would like to spend that day on food purchases. A market staff member will swipe their EBT card for that amount. The customer is then given wooden tokens, which are used just like cash, and can be used to buy food at approved vendors at the market. Learn more about shopping with SNAP.
