The Music Hall’s Film Matters Series, in affiliation with Share Our Strength Seacoast, Seacoast Eat Local, and End 68 Hours of Hunger, presents the documentary A Place at the Table, Tuesday, April 30 at 7 pm. Billy Shore, Founder and CEO of Share Our Strength, will introduce the film. A panel of local experts will lead a post-film discussion and Q&A.

49 million people in the U.S. — one in four children — don’t know where their next meal is coming from, despite our having the means to provide nutritious, affordable food for all Americans. Directors Kristi Jacobson and Lori Silverbush examine this issue through the lens of three people for who are struggling with food insecurity. Their stories are interwoven with insights from experts and activists including Top Chef’s Tom Colicchio and Oscar (R)-winning actor Jeff Bridges. Panel discussion and Q&A follows the film.
