“Good Earth, Good Food, Good Future” Benefits SNAP, April 18

Don’t miss this terrific and unique celebration of the wonders of our Earth, the value of local, healthy food, and the community collaboration it takes to preserve and increase access to both of them — and help support Seacoast Eat Local’s SNAP/EBT program all at the same time!

“Good Earth, Good Food, Good Future”
Young’s Restaurant, 48 Main St, Durham, NH
Thursday, April 18, 2013
5:30 – 7:30 pm
Cost: Free, with $5 minimum donation suggested to benefit Seacoast Eat Local’s SNAP/EBT program

Young’s Restaurant invites friends, fans, local community members, and students to join them at the restaurant for a great evening of food and interaction. Included in the event:

• Dinner consisting of a tasting menu of a wide range of food and beverage offerings from our great local food partners.

• The chance to mix and network with other leaders and supporters of the local sustainable food community.

• A special presentation by Ken Young of his latest international outdoor adventure and local food experience — the story of his climb of Aconcagua, the tallest mountain in the world outside of the Himalayas, and of his experiences with the local food community in Mendoza, Argentina.

Any donations provided by attendees at the event will go to Seacoast Eat Local’s SNAP/EBT program, which helps lower-income families afford healthier food from our local farmers markets.

If you are able to RSVP to let us know you will be there, that will help us plan for the number of people who will be attending. Please RSVP to [email protected]et.
