Open Farm Day at Rustlewood Farm, June 1

To increase understanding and appreciation of the importance of local farmland, Kittery Land Trust is offering a series of public events, Year of the Farm. Upcoming is Open Farm Day at Rustlewood Farm on Saturday, June 1st:

Open Farm Day at Rustlewood Farm
Kittery Land Trust
Rustlewood Farm, 110 Wilson Rd (Rte 101), Kittery, ME
Saturday, June 1, 2013 (Rain date: June 2)
11 am – 3 pm

This will be a great opportunity to experience the land that KLT is working to conserve. Kittery residents have the chance to see first-hand what their tax dollars could protect if the Open Space bond passes on June 11 and provides KLT will the funds needed to complete the preservation of Rustlewood.

Bring your family, a picnic lunch, and experience the beauty of Rustlewood. Activities include hay rides, pony rides for kids, and cow patty bingo. And with some spring time luck, a calf might be born at the event, as it was at last fall’s Open Farm Day!

This event is open to the public.

Directions: Rustlewood Farm is located at 110 Wilson Road (Route 101), Kittery. Turn by the light near the Kittery Trading Post.
