Scenes from a Winter Farmers’ Market

2.23.13 Winter Farmers' Market, Rollinsford

It was clear from our Winter Farmers’ Market in Rollinsford yesterday that we’ve turned that corner in February when greenhouse greens begin to wake up — and what a joy they were to see, buy and cook with again! A big hurrah for the amazing array of food that our local farmers and vendors brought, the 18 farms that participated in CSA Day at the Market, and all of you who came out to support them. A special shout-out goes to the Dover Keys Club, Slow Food Seacoast and friends, and our terrific band of volunteers who all pitched in to make this market possible!

We look forward to seeing you again at our next Winter Farmers’ Market on Saturday, March 16th in Exeter. Due to scheduling circumstances, please note that this falls three weeks from now, with the market returning to Rollinsford on March 23rd. Until then, here’s a glimpse of the market to help you make up your next shopping list!

  1. I purchased some of that bok choy. I am throughly enjoy it as salads for two days now. Absolutely delicious and awesome to have greens at this time of the year.

    1. Such bounty in February, crazy isn’t it? Can’t believe how far we’ve come in such a short time!
