The Ultimate Pi Day at the Winter Farmers’ Market!

Thanksgiving pie sunnyfieldThis year the Winter Farmers’ Market falls on the ultimate Pi Day of our lifetime! Celebrate with farmers and friends by Volunteering at the market to be there when the Pi(es) align at 3/14/15 9:26 & 53 seconds! We’ll be at Wentworth Greenhouses in Rollinsford from 10-2.

It is going to be awesome day with Sandra Koski returning to entertain and serenade market shoppers, our 1st ever Drink Local Tasting Event will be taking place, and it is our Beer & Bread themed Market!

Cornucopia Food Pantry

Cornucopia’s mission is to provide food and other support to all, including UNH students, staff, faculty and their families. We do so with love, compassion, respect, non-judgment, hope and a belief in abundance. They will be at the Farmers’ Market continuing to collect fresh food donations for the community members in need.

Bedrock Gardens

Bedrock Gardens is a 35 acre garden in Lee. The garden holds several open houses a year as well as community events, such as art classes, music in the garden, and yoga. The garden is also available for private tours and for use by school groups, gardening groups, etc.

Oyster River Coop School District Sustainability Committee

The Oyster River Cooperative School District’s Sustainability Committee works to implement, support, and monitor sustainability practices and projects. The Committee strives to educate and advocate for sustainable practices in the District through projects that have included: the establishment of composting-recycling programs, work in the school gardens, purchase of local foods for the school lunches, documentary movie shows, and completion of the District’s ecological footprint.
